FamTrak Terms of Service

1. What FamTrak is

FamTrak is a family location-sharing app. Members of a "circle" share their live location, saved places, arrival/departure alerts, driving reports, SOS and check-ins with one another. It has no controls over a phone other than keeping location services enabled while sharing is turned on.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 13 to create an account yourself. A supervised member is a child or dependent whose sharing is managed by a circle admin; by adding a supervised member you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian (or act with that person's authority) and consent to their location being collected and shared within the circle.

3. Consent to location sharing

Joining a circle means you agree that your location, battery level, saved-place arrivals/departures and driving summaries are visible to the other members of that circle, subject to the privacy modes described in the Privacy Policy. Do not add, invite or track anyone without a lawful basis to do so. Tracking an adult without their knowledge and consent may be illegal where you live and is a breach of these terms.

4. Always-on location and Guardian mode

While sharing is enabled, FamTrak keeps location services on and will prompt to re-enable them if they are turned off. On a phone enrolled in Guardian mode (device-owner setup performed by an admin), FamTrak can re-enable location itself, keep its permissions, and prevent uninstallation. Guardian mode may only be enrolled on a device you own or are legally responsible for.

5. Acceptable use

• No stalking, harassment, or covert surveillance of anyone.
• No attempts to spoof locations, tamper with the app or the service, probe other users' data, or overload the service.
• No use for commercial tracking of employees or customers.

We may suspend or delete accounts and circles that breach these rules.

6. Accuracy and safety

Locations come from the phone's GPS, Wi-Fi and cell signals and can be wrong, delayed or unavailable (phone off, no signal, battery saver, permissions revoked, app stopped). Driving events (hard braking, speed, phone use) are estimates. FamTrak is not an emergency service. The SOS feature only notifies your circle; in an emergency call your local emergency number.

7. Service and changes

FamTrak is provided as-is, operated by Undervision on its own servers. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time and will try to give notice through the app. Updates are delivered through the app's self-update mechanism or the Google Play Store.

8. Your content and data

You keep ownership of your data. You grant us the limited right to store and process it to run the service for you and your circle, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your account at any time from Settings or at fam.undervision.com/delete-account.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Undervision is not liable for losses arising from inaccurate or unavailable location data, missed or delayed alerts, misuse of the service by circle members, or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may leave a circle or delete your account at any time (supervised members do so through their admin). We may terminate accounts that breach these terms or that are inactive for more than 12 months, after notice where practical.

11. Changes to these terms

We will post updated terms here and change the effective date. Continuing to use FamTrak after a change means you accept the new terms.
